How to make the Patriotic Fruit Salsa
Did I mention that it isn’t that difficult to make? The fruit salsa has 4 ingredients – strawberries, blueberries, strawberry preserves, and a few marshmallows to sprinkle on top. That’s it!
Cut up the strawberries
Add blueberries
Add a tablespoon of strawberry preserves
Stir and sprinkle marshmallows on top
That’s it! The Cinnamon Sugar Crisps are fairly easy to make as well.
How to make Cinnamon Sugar Crisps
I’ve been making this recipe for years, and the highlight of it is the crisps. I make these for my boys as snacks, without fruit salsa to dip.
Again, you will only need 4 ingredients – tortilla shells, cinnamon, sugar, and nonstick spray!
Spray the tortillas on both sides with a nonstick spray
Cut the tortillas into strips
Coat in the cinnamon & sugar mixture
Bake @ 350 degrees for 10-14 minutes

Patriotic Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Sugar Crisps
Ingredients
Patriotic Fruit Salsa
- 2 lbs strawberries
- 2 pints blueberries
- 2 tbsp strawberry preserves
- 1/4 cup tiny marshmallows
Cinnamon Sugar Crisps
- 1 package flour tortillas – burrito sized
- 1 can nonstick spray
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions

Clean and dice strawberries

Add strawberry preserves to dice strawberries and mix well

Add cleaned blueberries to strawberry mixture. Mix well

Right before serving, garnish the Patriotic Fruit Salsa with tiny marshmallows
Cinnamon Sugar Crisps

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Mix the cinnamon and sugar mixture in a flat bowl or pan.

Spray both sides of the flour tortilla with non stick spray

Cut the sprayed tortilla in half (a cookie cutter works well). Then cut the halved tortilla into chip sized pieces.

Dip the sprayed tortilla into the cinnamon and sugar mixture, making sure to coat both sides.

Place the coated tortillas onto a baking sheet and into the preheated oven. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes until the tortillas shells are slightly firm. They will become even crispier as they cool off.
