My boys are still loving Shark Week and that means they have been burning through all the Shark-themed kids’ activities I can find. Luckily, this Shark Scissor Skills Practice Worksheet is one of their favorites.
If you are looking for a fun shark worksheet for your classroom or home, this one is perfect for improving those fine motor skills.
Of course, it is also super fun which makes working on those skills a fun learning experience too.

Shark Scissor Skills Practice Worksheet – Age Range
This worksheet works best for preschool through elementary-age kids. Of course, that does not mean it won’t be fun for younger kids too. It might just take some patience and adaptation.
For example, a third grader should be able to do the worksheet with a little concentration, but not a lot of difficulty.
A kindergartner will take a little more time to complete the worksheet. My middle guy is six and the worksheet was challenging enough to make him work towards the goal, but not too difficult that he gave up.
Then of course there is my crazy, last child, the preschool tornado. He was all about cutting the sharks! While his technique of staying on the lines was lacking (wink) he did cut through every shark on the paper at least once!
So as far as cutting practice goes, there is a wide range of ages that this Shark Scissor Skills Practice Worksheet can cover. As long as they are cutting, they are working their small hand muscles and increasing their fine motor skills.
Ideas for using your Shark Cutting Practice Worksheet
First, this worksheet would be perfect for an Ocean Theme Unit for School. It’s a colorful printable, but it can be printed in black and white by adjusting your printer settings.
Next, it’s also fun to celebrate Shark Week at Home. Set it out while you are making supper, watching a shark show on TV, or during your school work time.
Also, it would be fun to set out at a Shark Birthday Party. Just make sure you have enough scissors so several kids can cut at the same time.
I never used to plan calmer activities like this for birthday parties, but I’ve realized some kids love doing “table work”. If the kids end up not doing the worksheet, drop it in their goody bag and send it home.
The worksheet is also fun to use for Road Trips to the Beach or on long vacation drives. Simply print it out and place it in your child’s Travel Binder with a pair of scissors.
Or maybe your child is simply infatuated with sharks. There doesn’t need to be a special occasion or party to have fun with sharks.
Here’s your free printable Shark Worksheet & a few other suggestions too!
Make sure you also check out the printable, Shark Word Scramble for Kids. It’s another colorful, free printable featuring the sharks your kids love.

This is awesome! My boys (3 & 6) love to cut things out of paper, so this is right up their alley!
I have boys that are 3 & 6 too! (Plus a 9 year old boy – lol). I made this because my boys love cutting also. Hope your boys enjoy the scissor practice activity as much as mine do.
