The concept behind this travel game for kids is fairly simple. There are eleven colors of cars on the activity sheet that children need to search for while traveling.

The most common colors have six cars to cross off. The more difficult colors like pink, purple, and orange only have three.

The game was designed for the winner to be the one who crosses off all of their cars first. If only one child wishes to play, then the goal would be to cross off all the cars before you arrive at your destination.

Of course, you can always come up with other fun ways to play the game too.

Ways to Make the Printable Travel Game for Kids More Fun

For example, you could make it where you have to do a hash mark.

Make the rules so that the more common colors of cars have to be found five, ten, or even twenty times.

This will help keep the game flowing while you search for those elusive orange, pink, or purple cars.

Or you could switch from using the colors of cars to finding colors you see only on the sides of eighteen-wheel trucks or license plates.
